Pain Management Policy

RMBSI is providing information about the medications you will likely be taking for pain management and spasms following surgery. In addition, it is also to assure that you and your health care provider will comply with state and federal regulations concerning the prescribing and use of controlled substances.

Privacy Authorization

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) Privacy Rule establishes national standards to protect individuals’ medical records and other personal health information. The Rule requires appropriate safeguards to protect the privacy of personal health information, and sets limits and conditions on the uses and disclosures that may be made of such information without patient authorization.
